Minnesota Food Share March Campaign

The March Campaign is designed to assist the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf with their efforts to feed the hungry in McLeod County. It is a friendly challenge with a goal of raising more than 100,000 pounds of donations during the month of March.

Based on the per capita (pounds per person per resident) challenge, Plato won the challenge in years past by collecting nearly sixteen pounds per resident. Silver Lake and Glencoe are often in a tie for second place with an average of five pounds donated per resident.

Donations collected during the month of march are matched-in-part by Minnesota Food Share Network making this a critical time to restock the shelves at the local food shelf.

In Plato, donations can be dropped off at Plato Custom Concepts, 119 Main Street, Plato.
